The Royal Wedding at the Whirling Dervish

There is nothing like a good old Royal Wedding to get me in a party mood, and we felt it fitting to bring a little bit of the pomp and ceremony that has been celebrated in London (and the rest of the world) into New Orleans One Quarter French in SL and so we held our very own Royal Wedding at the Whirling Dervish last night. The invites went out to all Kings and Queens, princes and princesses, brides and grooms and the Dervish was transformed into a sea of white with beautiful dresses swishing back and forth.

It was truly a site to behold as one by one, the beautiful brides, princesses, dapper looking princes in their full military regalia and grooms arrived.

The competition board was opened and the Most Fabulous Royal Avatar was sought and $500L was won by our dapper looking Prince, Kyl Donogal, who wowed all the girls in his military uniform complete with hat and gloves. At one point he did try to leave, but one bride and one princess, who shall remain anonymous, grabbed onto his thighs and wouldn't let him go.

DJ and manager of the Dervish, Stavros Jolbey played music for the masses while his host, Princess Leia took excellent care of all the guests, passing champagne around the celebrate the occasion.

One of the guests who attended the party did so 2 hours before she was actually getting married in SL. She was a bag of nerves and fretted that the groom hadn't logged on yet. I do hope she managed to calm down and that the wedding went off without a hitch. This writer was also treated to a dance with a very smart looking fox and enjoyed a twirl on top of the DJ box with Daytona Coba.

The Whirling Dervish is now closed for refurbishment so do keep watch both here and in SL when we let you know that we are back open for business. We will be holding a massive opening party and invites will be sent out. We look forward to seeing the new, funky, New Orleans One Quarter French own night club.

Thank you to all who attended and I'm sure you all had as much fun as I did.
